08/26 Just Heard About Portable Greenhouses from a Friend

I have a friend who is an avid gardener. She always has the earliest and the latest crops. I asked her what her secret was and she told me that she starts things early in her greenhouse and is able to keep them longer in there, even after frosts. I was intrigued by that idea but I rent the house that I live in so I did not think something like that would be feasible. That is when she told me about portable greenhouses. That sounded like something that might work for me, so I have been looking into them online.

So far I have found several different options. There are pop up greenhouses, there is a portable garden greenhouse, and a collapsible greenhouse. Those all seem like they would be good options for me. I would like something so that if and when I move, I can just take it with me. Portable greenhouses are definitely the best option for me. I think that they would be the perfect size for me as well. I am just getting started with gardening, so something smaller would make more sense. If I am good at it, I might want to get two some day.

I really liked the light on the Lord and look at my greenhouse and especially since I built it using PVC Greenhouse Plans. It was quite inexpensive greenhouse but I think it looks absolutely wonderful and I would not change it for anything.

03/26 Looking for Reviews on Yazoo Mowers

Last fall our old lawn mower finally died. We did not replace it right away because we knew we would not need one until the spring. Well now the spring is here and we need to get a mower soon. A friend of mine told me about a type of lawn mower that I would like to look into. I have been looking for reviews on Yazoo mowers. My friend that he has had his for years, it works great and he has never had any problems with it. I would like to read some reviews to see what other people have to say about it before I buy one.

02/27 A Cat Fence Is The Perfect Choice So Your Indoor Cats Can Go Outside

I have three cats that I really love and I hate the fact that I can’t let them go outside and wondered if there was a way I could give them that type of freedom.  I didn’t find a great cat fence that I think would perfectly because to me it is basically a room outside but then are still contained.  Best of all these fences can help keep strays out and cats can’t eat through them.  I have decided to get one and am happy that my cats will now have the option to enjoy the outdoors like everyone else does.

01/03 With Worm Farms Children Get To Play In The Dirt

We spend a great deal of our time trying to keep our kids out of the dirt and to play in ways that are safe and still fun, but have you thought about one of the most educational ways for a kid to play where they are actually encouraged to get their hands dirty? There is a new educational concept sweeping the nation that kids are really enjoying called Worm Farms. This easy to assemble and use set up gives kids access to one of our best “save the earth” and “recycle” concepts for converting organic waste into usable and earth friendly materials. Worms are actually responsible for a lot of things from helping farmers add nutrients to soil that will eventually fertilize the plants growing in there, and they also help to loosen the soil to allow air flow and to give the roots of vegetables and such room to “grow”. Kids get a great education from these worm-farm kits and it gives them a great excuse to get dirty, while helping them to realize the importance of recycling and taking care of mother earth.

08/24 Worm Farms

If you've noticed some new worms in your bins that aren't supposed to be there, don't be alarmed. They're more than likely pot worms.

These worms frequent worm farms with acidic soil. They are small and whitish in color. The pot worms may actually help the functionality of your farm. They feed on the bacteria, fungi, and small mineral particles that are in the bedding of your bins. This helps to mix the organic matter throughout the soil.

Pot worms, although they are probably very thick throughout your bins, pose no threat to you or the health of your worms.

07/29 Good advice to take

I moved into a new house recently and I realized that the lawn was much bigger than my old one and that I would need a good lawnmower to do the job properly. Luckily my neighbors gave me some advice which turned out to be good advice, and that was to buy a Snapper lawnmower. I went online and had one delivered within three days, and now that I have used it I can honestly say it is one of the best lawnmowers I have ever used.

03/19 Murray lawn mowers are a great deal

I really needed to buy a new lawnmower but I really did not know which type to buy because I do not know very much about technical things and I’m not very much of a gardener into the bargain. So in order to make the right choice I simply went down to my local gardening center, and it was there that I saw a display of Murray Lawn Mowers, and immediately I knew that it was the right sort of one that I wanted. After talking to the salesman I chose the model that was just right for me and I really do think I made the right decision.

02/02 A wide choice of greenhouse kits

Having decided on setting up a greenhouse we now decided to go shopping. Mother gave a wise suggestion and told us not to go snarling around in traffic jams but to click on the web for the types of Greenhouse Kits available in the market. Promptly we sat down with our laptops to compare our findings. There were many - mini, commercial, and lean-to greenhouses for those with limited space. The jumbo ones have misting facilities, choice of door placements, louver windows and many vents on the roof. The units can be assembled easily. The mini-greenhouses too are sturdy and provide the required amount of heat. The frames are made from steel, aluminum or resin. It all sounded so good that I wondered if I could even become a resident of this tropical paradise next winter.

12/09 Swing Point

Leave it to Bobby Knight–or Coach Knight, as those of us schooled in Indiana are required by law to call him–to make the obvious, if chair hammock swing, point. "All of us learn to write by the second grade," Coach Knight once observed to a group of sportswriters, "and then most of us go on to other things." To which a sportswriter might respond, "Other things? Like throwing chairs, screaming at teenage freshmen, and kicking the scorers' table?" But real sportswriters would never respond in that way–partly because they don't want to get a chair thrown at them and partly because, in the heart of every sportswriter, there's the sneaking suspicion that the Hoosier S.O.B. is right: Writing about sports isn't how a grownup is supposed to make a living.

11/22 Become An Artist With Perfect Garden Design

I am no artist. Stick men are fine but that’s probably my limit. If I try to draw a picture I seem to have no sense of perspective. The image is there in my head but I just can’t get it to look the same on paper. But this doesn’t stop me from creating great garden designs. If this sounds like you then why not make your garden a picture to be proud of. Think of your garden as a blank canvas, and your imagination as the paintbrush and you will be simply amazed at what you can come up with.
