11/29 My Training Cost Were Out Of Hand.
I felt as if our training expenditures were completely out of hand. Every month I would get requests for training that had to be accomplished if we were going to be able to meet production requirements. Our turnover had not been that great yet we continued to train people for the same positions. Trying to create a spread sheet to cover people trained with job requirements became too much of a nightmare and showed me that the job was unmanageable. Then Peoplesoft Workforce Planning showed me how it could be done. We now have their automated workforce planning system in place and can track all competencies in all departments.
